About Speedforge

A speedcubing timer focused on analytics and improvement.

What is Speedforge?

Speedforge is a speedcubing timer with a focus on analytics. Timing your solves is just the beginning. Understanding your patterns and tracking your progress across events helps you improve faster.

The project covers all 17 official WCA events. Track solves, review performance, and compare daily challenge attempts with the same scramble across cubers.

What's Built So Far

Timer

Precision timing with WCA-style inspection and scramble generation.

Analytics

Track PBs, averages (Ao5, Ao12), and progression charts.

Daily Challenges

One official scramble per day for each event with a leaderboard.

Labels and Tags

Organize solves by cube brand or context for targeted analysis.

Profiles

Public profiles, user search, and shared stats (planned).

Parties

Multiplayer sessions with shared scrambles and live standings.

How Solve Storage Works

Guest users: Solves are stored locally in your browser, limited to the most recent 25 solves per event. This keeps things fast while you try the app.

Logged in users: Cloud sync is planned. The idea is to keep every solve saved, while the UI shows the most recent solves per event for performance.

There is no paid tier today. If server costs become an issue in the future, limits may adjust to keep the project running.

Future Plans

The goal is to keep adding features that help cubers improve.

  • Advanced analytics and trends
  • Training modes and drills
  • Social features and clubs
  • Speedforge Wrapped yearly recap
  • Mobile app experience
  • Data export

Nothing is set in stone. The project evolves based on what seems most useful to the community.

Built by a Solo Developer
A personal project made by a speedcuber who wanted the timer and analytics tool they wished existed.

Speedforge is currently in alpha. It is functional, but still evolving. Features are added based on feedback and what helps cubers improve.
